  • Cedar Fair

    Local 42 has reached an agreement with Cedar Fair on a new 5 year contract. The following is a breakdown of what will change and the wage increases:

    2/1/2019 + $ .85  plus one time check of $1,000 (full time with 6mos + employment) 

    2/1/2020 + $ .90  plus one time check of $750  (full time with 6mos + employment) 

    2/1/2021 + $1.00

    2/1/2022 + $1.00

    2/1/2023 + $1.00

    • Christmas Eve shall be added as a paid holiday
    • Employees shall be able to carry over 5 unused paid days off
    • The vacation qualification is changed to 1600 hours worked. (This should make it easier for employees to qualify for vacation.)
    • Lead Craft Foremen rate increased by $ .25 cents to $1.50
    • If contacted by the Employer after hours, a Foreman shall be compensated a minimum of 1 hour at the applicable rate of pay for time spent on work related business needs outside of the Foreman’s normal shift
    • Cedar Point will provide as needed a 2nd man to support safety concerns on any and all jobs throughout the park at any time.  If no one is available and the associate has concerns doing the job alone, they can speak to their Supervisor for guidance and direction
